Fall months are always the busiest for me, and
this year even more so then usual. First, on Sept. 10th I will be teaching “Think Inside the Box” - a
workshop in Palo Alto, for the Adult School Education. In this workshop we will
create box assemblages with found objects and several mixed media techniques. Details
and registration are here: http://paadultschool.org/classes/think-inside-box/
Next I will be teaching at Create Seattle, which is a
wonderful mixed media 5 day retreat. I
am offering 3 different classes: Mad
Scientist Collage, Black and White Drama, and Fontastic Art. All of these are
collage and mixed media techniques combined. This event happens in October 22-26.
Information and registration are here: http://seattle.createmixedmediaretreat.com/ehome/index.php?eventid=87874&
The third place I will be teaching at is the Palo Alto Art
Center, and that happens on November 9th.
This workshop is all about the popular Gelli Printing technique. Information
and registration are here: https://apm.activecommunities.com/paloalto/Activity_Search?txtActivitySearch=gelli&clear=true
In addition to these classes there is the annual Book Arts
Jam – one of the best book arts events in the country! It happens this year on
October 18th. In addition to the book arts vendors we will
have demos, talks and a wonderful exhibit in the gallery. info here: http://www.bookartsjam.org/
I will have, among other things, my eco - natural dyed papers and books.
And the cherry on top, for me: I will be doing a one week
residency at the International School of Graphic Design in Venice, Italy. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Scuola-Internazionale-di-Grafica-Venezia/282604465083640.
I can’t wait for this wonderful adventure.
