Amazing student art from CREATE

Just back from the CREATE Costa Mesa retreat. It was so much fun meeting old and new friends and artists, working on creative projects and socializing with everyone including  the lovely crew of the event. Thank you to my talented students and thanks to the very helpful team who supported us all the way. Here are some photos from the LAYERED PRINT class. These are gigantic poster size multi layered prints. Aren't they gorgeous?

The connection between my dogs and my art plus the giveaway winner

Walking my dogs gives me the time I need to plan and visualize my art projects, and it also gives me the opportunity to collect leaves. Leaves are great art material, especially when it comes to printmaking.

Celebrations and a GIVEAWAY!

I have so many reasons to celebrate today:

First – the beautiful days of spring and the roses that are blooming in my garden.

Second – I have an article in the Cloth Paper Scissors magazine May June ‘11 issue. This time it is not about my own art but about an amazing show that my talented sister (yes, it runs in the family) Tami Sinar has put up. Over 100 female artists altered bigger-than-life size mannequins to represent “being a woman” with all of its aspects. That was quite a spectacle and you can read all about it in the magazine. There is also a catalog of the show which is a beautiful  heavy book full of all 100 + photos of all the mannequins.

Lastly I am a guest blogger in the Luminarte Creative Imaginations blog which is all about their wonderful water based paint products. Starting tomorrow there will be weekly posts by myself and other artists so check it out!
