FROM MY PUBLISHERS:

Dear Artists,

We are currently seeking fresh pieces of art to include
in the upcoming book, Mixed Media Printmaking: Create
mixed-media art with simple printmaking techniques. The
book, published by Interweave Press, is slated for a SPRING
2009 release. In regard to technique, the focus of the book
is printmaking without the use of a press. The book then
shows how to incorporate such prints into mixed-media
creations. Therefore, we are requesting pieces that show
printmaking without a press as well as mixed-media pieces
that incorporate such prints.

We are seeking art that was created with the following
press-less techniques:
• Paper Stencil Screen Printing
• Screen Printing with Drawing Fluid and Screen Filler
• Screen Printing, Photo Emulsion Technique
• Collagraph
• Monotype
• Gelatin Monotype
• Relief Printing
• Sun Printing

If you have unpublished art that illustrates the above
concepts, please contact us as soon as possible. We are
accepting submissions via email through Friday, October 17,
2008. Please see the attached idea form for more information
and submission guidelines. If your art is chosen, it will be
published (full-color) in the book. Your work will be
credited and you will also receive a complimentary copy of
the book.
